The Creative Arts Corner of Hudson Valley, located in the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center, provides comprehensive digital photography tutoring for kids, teens, adults, and seniors throughout Rockland, Bergen, Orange, Putnam, Westchester, and surrounding counties. Led by award-winning visual artist Deborah Grosmark, who founded and directs the program, this studio has built a strong reputation for delivering professional instruction in both studio and on-location settings.
Guided by the belief that storytelling through photography can be transformative, The Creative Arts Corner aims to inspire students at all levels to connect with their inner artist and develop essential visual skills. The studio’s mission centers on cultivating creativity, confidence, and technical expertise through hands-on learning using professional equipment and digital technologies.
Students can participate in group classes, private or semi-private lessons, summer intensives, the CAC Studio Photography Club, specialized workshops, and programs for homeschoolers, special needs, or gifted learners. Additional offerings include workshops for scouts and partnerships with schools, libraries, and community organizations. Programs are accessible to a range of ages, including photography classes for students ages 10-17, adult digital processing tutorials, and cross-generational workshops.
As a testament to its quality, The Creative Arts Corner was voted “Best of Hudson Valley 2023” for both adult education and kids classes. Prospective students are invited to join a welcoming community dedicated to artistic growth and creative storytelling through photography.
