Emma is a dynamic educator and the founder of The Green Tomato, a tutoring organization dedicated to individualized learning. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Latin American Studies from Flagler College and a Master’s in Childhood Education, specializing in language and literacy, from Hunter College.
Her teaching career began in New York City, where she taught 2nd and 3rd grades and later expanded to teaching Spanish and upper elementary grades. Over the past five years, Emma has developed a personalized teaching style that helps students achieve significant academic milestones.
Emma is trained in the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark program, using small-group interventions to support students facing reading and writing challenges. Her approach combines individualized attention with a focus on building trust, confidence, and self-determination in learners.
Through The Green Tomato, Emma leads a team of tutors and crafts innovative lesson plans designed to inspire and engage students. Her dedication to personalized education and holistic learning makes her a valued guide for students striving to reach their full potential.
